Hensel Associates, Inc. is an international construction management, development, and advisory consultancy — founded in Corrales, New Mexico, with a Texas presence and its veteran principal now working from Michigan. For more than 50 years, the firm has guided owners, institutions, developers, municipalities, and attorneys through complex building projects — including the ones that have already gone wrong.
The practice is advisory by design: owner’s representation, construction management, project rescue, development and master-planning consulting, forensic investigation, code review, and expert-witness testimony. The firm has never bid on a project — every engagement is negotiated on reputation, usually under AIA Construction Manager as Advisor forms, which keep the owner in maximum control of budget and destiny. Roughly half of all engagements are rescues; over half of all projects are humanitarian.

Experience in more than 70 countries — from a $200M resort rescue in Guam and post-embargo joint ventures in Vietnam to current work in Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, and the Marshall Islands. Most international projects are humanitarian.
